DIY Cough Medicine

I don’t know about you, but with the COVID-19 virus sweeping through the US, I’m avoiding stores and pharmacies at all costs. Even in the best of times, it’s not always feasible to get to the pharmacy, and besides cough medicine is expensive. Below is a very easy and effective recipe to make your own!


2 Tablespoons Water

2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

2 Tablespoons of Honey

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1.4 teaspoon ground ginger

Put everything in a jar and mix well. Let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours.

This is spicy, no doubt, but I think it’s delicious. And better yet, it really helps me better than anything else I’ve found.

The honey will sit on the bottom and the ingredients on top will be runny, but that’s ok! When you’re ready to take, mix together and scoop some out. I usually go with one tablespoon.
